When it comes to invitations, I'm often part of the early stages of a couple's wedding plans. Through conversation I observe their personalities and learn details of how they envision their day. Flowers, colors, table settings, bridesmaid dresses, bowties, cake, music — no detail is off-limits!

As the invitation designer, my work is about translating these particulars into custom designed wedding stationery, then coordinating production to bring the designs into printed form. Lastly, I package up the invitations to ship out and that's that, or, once in awhile for local projects, I have the chance to deliver the invitations straight to the couple's hands and to give a warm hug of congrats (a mix of We finished the invitations!, and, You're getting married!).

For Tanyelle and Kenton's vineyard wedding in May, the Paisley & Poppies suite was redesigned to fit the traditional card format and to incorporate the couple's monogram and dusty blue. The talented Presshaus LA produced the cards, and the bride sourced beautiful silk ribbon for tying and sealed it all up with white wax.

I always enjoy getting to see how the initial vision is ultimately realized, and especially how invitation details are carried through the event. It's truly a treat when the wedding photography comes in!
