This was a very special birthday party invitation for a boy turning 10 in 2010! Given only the event details and no particular parameters with regards to design, this became an exploration in patterns, color palettes, hand-lettering, and the experience of discovery by way of unfolding. A small run of one dozen invitations was printed on linen coverstock, and paired with kraft-colored envelopes.
